Chapter 26: Free Yourself
After passing through the wall, Coven's vision darkened. His pupils contracted. After quickly adapting to the light, Coven found himself on another platform
Unable to observe his surroundings, Coven immediately pushed the luggage cart to avoid the passage behind him, in case Penelope and the others ran into him when they came over.
His foresight was correct because just as he avoided, Penelope cried out in alarm and rushed out from the wall.
Unable to adapt to the sudden change in environment, Penelope panicked and continued to rush forward.
Seeing this, Coven immediately stepped forward and reached out to grab Penelope. Only then did he successfully prevent Penelope from rushing directly to the bottom of the platform.
"Penelope, slow down! Be careful of the platform in front!"
Behind, with some anxious shouts, Madam Clearwater quickly emerged from the wall. When she saw the scene of Coven and Penelope, she heaved a sigh of relief.
"Thank you, Little Coven." Madam Clearwater patted her chest and said with lingering fear, "Fortunately, you were here. Otherwise, Penelope would have rushed to the platform. This happened every few years. Those children entered the hospital before they even entered the school."
"Yes, Madam." Coven smiled and released his hand. Then, he patted Penelope on the shoulder. "You weren't scared, right?"
"I was scared." Penelope guiltily stuck out the tip of her tongue. However, in the next moment, Penelope began to let him go again. She put aside the previous danger and began to observe the new station in front of him.
"This child." When Madam Clearwater saw this, she shook her head helplessly...
.
Under Madam Clearwater's urging, Coven and Penelope boarded the train. After passing two carriages, the two found an empty compartment and opened the door to enter.
Penelope did not sit down after entering the door. She did not help Coven, who was carrying two large suitcases behind him. Instead, she jumped up and knelt on the side seat of the soft car chair. She opened the window and poked her head out. She waved his hand and greeted Madam Clearwater loudly.
Seeing this, Coven shook his head and smiled helplessly. He carried two suitcases and walked into the compartment. After putting the two owls away, he stuffed the suitcases into the rack and sat down in the chair opposite Penelope.
"Coven, I will trouble you to take care of Penelope in the academy." Madam Clearwater said helplessly through the window, "It would be great if she were as sensible as you."
"Mom ---" Penelope acted like a spoiled child, "I can take good care of myself."
"Then you can do whatever you want." Coven said indifferently and continued to ask, "I heard that we could only reach the school at night. What are you going to do ?"
"I don't know either. Maybe I'll continue reading." Penelope replied, "I don't know anyone else, and I don't want to go out."
"Well, what book do you want to read?" As Coven spoke, he raised his right hand. With a flick of his wrist, the wand flew out from his sleeve and was held by Coven.
"Continue reading the standard spell," Penelope replied.
Upon hearing this, Coven maintained the posture of lying on his side and pointed his wand at the box on the luggage cabinet. The floating spell box floated out, opened the spell box, and the textbooks that Penelope needed flew out of the box.
Before the book flew in front of him, Coven changed the floating spell again and controlled the book to float in front of Penelope.
The last effect was like the recovery spell of time, which automatically closed the box, and Coven continued to use the floating spell to put it back on the luggage rack.
After watching Coven's spell the whole time, Penelope held the textbook in his hand and commented in amazement, "Coven, you are the most talented person I have ever seen! You are so good at using magic spells."
Waving his hand, Coven put away his wand and said casually, "Practice more and use more. That is the reason why those adult wizards can practice their magic spells to the level of silent casting As long as I use my wand to command them, they can do what I do silently."
"Silent casting and no wand casting." Penelope said longingly, "I don't know when I will be able to do it."
"It's good to use magic spells often." Coven said, "You will do it sooner or later."
"I also believe that I can do it myself!" Penelope proudly raised his chin. "Other than you, I am confident that I will not be worse than anyone else!"
Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang!
Someone knocked on the glass of the cubicle door. An old lady pushed a mobile snack cart at the door and asked, "Do you need to eat anything, children?"
"I've been waiting for you!" Penelope immediately threw down his book and took out two gold coins* from her pocket. Her face was full of joy as he spoke.
[*TL Note: The wizarding currency of Great Britain consisted of three different coins; in decreasing order of value, they were: Galleon, Sickle, and Knut. They were gold, silver, and bronze, respectively. There were 17 Sickles in a Galleon, and 29 Knuts in a Sickle, meaning there were 493 Knuts in a Galleon.]
'Obviously, Madam Clearwater had told Penelope a lot about the situation on the train in advance.'
