Adam looked around the carriage with a startled look.

'A letter.' Adam looked at the letter inside his hands and, with shaking hands, opened it.
'I always wondered what she wrote to me.'
Adam started skimming through the contents of the letter.
'Adam, I received a word that you're going over to the Black Sea for a moment. I heard it is a very dangerous area, so I hope you're going to be careful and safe.'
While reading it, he imagined Lady Yu writing it at her desk with the moonlight filtering through the window.
"Oh, you opened it." Liam leaned over. "What'cha reading~"
"None of your business." Adam's voice turned cold.
"Oof..." Liam raised his hands innocently. "What's with that tone? I was just curious..."

Adam shook his head and quickly finished the letter.

"..." Adam gently closed the letter and pocketed it inside his coat.
"We're about to arrive!" Nikholas' rough voice came from outside.
The horse's neigh sounded, and the carriage's wheels rolled down to the stop.
"Alright, time to go!" Liam patted his hands together, feeling clearly excited about something.

Calamity turned to Adam and patted him in the head. "I really don't see what Lady Yu and that
bitch Sapphira saw in you. You're utterly pathetic."
"I was wondering that myself." Adam's legs started to slowly move as he began standing up.
"I think they saw something in me that I myself hadn't."
"?!" Calamity frowned and looked at Liam. "Didn't you poison this bastard?"
"I-I did!" Liam shouted and showed the needle. "Chaosbeing Essence!"
"Tch, worthless." Calamity pulled out his mighty sword. "Fine, I'll just hack off his legs."
"Hmph." Adam shook his head and whispered. "You bystanders, kneel down."

A powerful aura swept through the room, and everyone except Calamity and Adam collapsed
on their knees with their faces heavy against the ground, unable to resist the overwhelming
force.
"W-w-what the hell is this?!" Liam screamed while his face kept getting crushed.
"?!?!?!" Amelia panicked and barely managed to look at Adam, who seemed like a mighty
existence.
"A-A-A-Adam?" Lisa whispered in shock.
Nikholas couldn't utter another word as his face was almost buried in the ground.
"Conqueror's Aura?!" Calamity cried out. "That's Grand Lord power..."
"You're not the only Conqueror here." Adam said coldly.
"That's impossible!" Calamity swung his sword in anger. Adam stepped over the sword and stomped it down to the ground.
When the two opposing forces clashed, the whole room started shaking.
At that moment, it was clear to everyone that the two were equal in strength! At least that's how it seemed at first glance.
