Chapter 108 A Young Man Buried Under Trash
Chapter 108 A Young Man Buried Under Trash
Just as Zagum sighed, the sound of horns resounded across the Sea of Sins, followed by, old boats made entirely out of unknown Magical Beast bones appearing in the distance. Each boat was rowed by a figure in a black cloak. As the figures rowed, their sleeves rose up their arm, showing arms made of black bones.
The Ferrymen had arrived after sending the last batch of Sinners!
The boats glided silently across the seven-colored sea, without creating a single ripple.
"The Ferrymen have arrived — board the Boats of Sins." Zagum commanded loudly once the Boats of Sins stopped before the shore. "Your journey of cleansing and atonement begins now."
"If you have questions, ask the Ferrymen," Zagum added impatiently before disappearing. His job was done, until the next batch of Sinners arrived.
Isabella was the first to move, immediately attracting the attention of the Immortal Souls.
"Wow, she's gorgeous."
"Damn, if she were my girlfriend, I could die in peace."
"Brother, you're already dead."

Within the soulless eyes of the Ferrymen, a green fire burned, when they saw only a single Sinner had moved.
"All Sinners must be cleansed and atone for their sins!"
The millions of Ferrymen shouted in unison, causing the Sea of Sin to suddenly become turbulent.
Immediately after, a mysterious energy enveloped each Immortal Soul, pulling them onto the Boats of Sins.
"MMNPH!"
Muffled screams resounded in the turbulent Sea of Sins before it instantly regained its tranquility.
Just as Yax was about to burst out laughing, he remembered Magical Beast parts sold for quite a hefty sum. The stronger the Magical Beast was, the more valuable its body would be. If he could get his hands on Lucian's body, maybe he could find a way to repair his Mana Veins.
Following that logic, Yax hesitated. He was a greedy man. He wanted both revenge and his Mana Veins repaired.
However, once he spread the news of Lucian's identity as a Magical Beast in Humanoid Form, the Mana Soul Realm Mages would divide his body parts, leaving nothing for him.
He, of course, did not want to be left with nothing.
'I need help — someone powerful, someone who can kill Lucian and share the spoils with me.'

Moon Grove Forest was a relatively small forest when compared to the majority of forests on the Aetheria Continent. Even so, the news about Lucian's restaurant, exorbitant prices, and eccentric rules had yet to spread among those gathered in the forest.
However, as a wise man once said, the world was filled with unique people, each with different ideals and ways of living. It was what made the world beautiful.
In a luxurious tent a dozen miles from Transcendence, an obese man could be seen stuffing his mouth with both hands. Around the man were hundreds of bones of various animals, some even emitted faint amounts of Mana. Clearly, they belonged to Magical Beasts.
His face and clothes were covered in oil stains. His way of eating was utterly repulsive. He looked as though he had not eaten in decades. With each bite of meat he ripped off the bone, the fat on his face jiggled.
Just then, as the obese man continued to eat messily, the tent's door opened and a gray-haired old man in a black suit walked in.
The butler did not feel repulsed by the obese man's way of eating or at the very least, even if he did, he did not show it on his neutral face.
Bowing to his Master, the old man respectfully spoke, "It is just like Master had said, someone has opened a restaurant in the Moon Grove Forest."
The obese man continued to eat his food as he lifted his head and glanced at his butler. "I knew my nose would never lie to me." He licked his sausage-sized fingers clean and smiled excitedly, "Did you find anything about the owner and chef? How good is the chef's skills?"
"The owner is also the chef of the restaurant. He goes by the name Lucian. However, not much is known about him, nor could I dig up any information related to the young man."
After he finished speaking, he could not help but frown. This was the first time in his 478 years of serving his Master, he had failed in his task.
