Chapter 75 Finally Back

Chapter 75 Finally Back

Maximilian watched as Lucian and Lily's Souls were covered in a luminescent white glow before their bodies vanished from his Dimension.

Only after a long while did Maximillian snap out of his daze and sighed deeply, feeling relief his son had been revived but sorrow he could not raise him.

"I hope Lucian can protect our son and give him the love that we cannot give him." Suddenly, a beautiful female's voice resounded within what should have been an empty room.

Maximilian turned around, not surprised one bit by his wife's figure standing behind him.

Ever since Lucian and Lily's Souls were teleported into his Dimension, his wife had been hiding and watching.

After all, the matter concerned her son, whom she had not seen in a hundred thousand years; therefore, how could she not be present to see her benefactor?

In fact, she was not the only other person who had hidden herself and watched from the beginning.

"I'm confident that if it's him, we have nothing to worry about."

"Hahaha, Boldvar is correct. Sister Ruyan, you have nothing to worry about."

"It won't be long before we see the Young Master again."

"By the way, did we ever choose a name for the Young Master?"

Soon, the room became overcrowded with Golden War Monkeys, causing Maximillian to change their location to an open field.

Only then did he respond to his wife in a calm and confident tone, "He will, my love!"

Meanwhile, back in Transcendence, Fenwick anxiously paced back and forth, while his eyes remained on Lily's unconscious body.

"Senior, are you there!? Can you hear me!?"

"Can you at least tell me what happened to Lily!?"

"It's been almost an hour!"

For the past hour, Fenwick had been calling out to the mysterious, weird-sounding Senior, who had communicated with him before, alas, he did not get a single response back.

He was almost driven crazy from worry and had almost woken Lily up many times. But each time, just as he was about to wake her up, an ominous feeling stopped him, a gut instinct warning him that doing so would be a grave mistake. He did not understand why, but he trusted his gut instinct.

"Senior, ple-"

Just as Fenwick was about to make another attempt to contact the Senior, a luminescent white glow illuminated Lily and Lucian's bodies.

Slowly, Lily's eyes fluttered open. She lifted her head from the table and looked at her surroundings in confusion.

"Big Brother Lucian? Grandpa Max?"

Seeing Lily was finally awake, Fenwick hurriedly rushed to her side, "Lily! You're awake! Thank the Heavens! Are you okay!? What happened!?"

"Let me check your Mana Veins." He said, and before Lily could even agree, her hand was seized by Fenwick, who proceeded to use his Mana Sense to check her Main Veins.

"This..." Fenwick gulped after seeing her Mana Veins.

"... It's actually true." He mumbled with a dazed look, looking as though he had suddenly aged by a few hundred years.

While Fenwick was dazed by the revelation, Lucian grabbed his knife and fork and began eating the Sous Vide Filet Mignon.

"Leave some for Lily." Lily pouted when she saw Lucian eating and quickly began eating as well.

Hearing Lily's voice, Fenwick was startled from his daze. His eyes widened in horror when he saw Lily eating the Sous Vide Filet Mignon, "Lily, what are you doing!? Stop! Spit it out now!"

However, before Lily could speak, Lucian indifferently explained, "Don't worry, Lily won't fall unconscious now that her body is strong enough to withstand the Mana."

Fenwick's eyes narrowed in suspicion, "... Wait, why did Senior fall unconscious?"

"That's of course because the piece of steak I took has an abundance of powerful Mana," Lucian said. For him, lying was as easy as breathing. It also helped that his face usually remained indifferent; therefore, it was hard for others to tell whether he was lying or telling the truth.

"If you don't believe me, you are more than welcome to try this piece," Lucian pointed at a small piece of steak on his plate with a teasing smirk.

Hearing Lucian's words, Fenwick was overjoyed.

'Haha, I can finally taste the Sous VIde Filet Mignon.' He laughed joyfully. Because he had been worried about Lily, he did not sneakily eat the steak.

However, now that he knew Lily was safe and even got the chef owner's permission, he would be an idiot not to stuff his mouth.

But just as Fenwick reached out with a fork, Lucian asked teasingly, "Are you sure you want to eat it?"

"What does Senior mean by that? Didn't you just give me permission to eat it? Or could it be you are going back on your word?" Fenwick furrowed his brows and bombarded Lucian with questions.

However, Lucian shook his head and continued, "I'm not going back on my word. I'm merely worried about your health, that's all."

"What do you mean?"

"Well, you see, the ingredient I mixed into the Sous Vide Filet Mignon only turns our pain receptors off. It doesn't have the effect of preventing pain. Which would mean..." Lucian trailed off teasingly when he saw Fenwick's eyes widen in horror.

*Clank* *Clank*

Unconsciously, Fenwick's hold on the fork and knife loosened, causing them to hit the table.

'I almost died!' Fenwick exclaimed in horror, feeling his trembling body soaked in cold sweat. If even Lucian, who was a powerful Magical Beast needed to use an ingredient that turned his pain receptors off, then the amount of Mana contained in his slice of steak would be enough to explode his body dozens of times over.

From the side, Lily watched their conversation while desperately trying not to laugh.

'Big Brother Lucian is really bad.' She thought to herself before placing the seventh and final slice of Sous Vide Filet Mignon into her mouth.

'But that means Lily was able to eat seven out of the eight slices hehehe~!'
