Chapter 248 Transcendent
Chapter 248 Transcendent
There was nothing left of the one his dagger brought an end to, only himself, standing there alone in the barren cosmos. A quiet breath left his lips, staring at the great expanse.
Throughout his body, the power flowing through his very soul was felt; a warm, all-capable strength.
"Let's get started," he mumbled to himself.
The first order of creation was used to create himself a new outfit, seeing as he lost his coat. Over his body, a sleek, black uniform manifested, perfectly attuned to his body.
As he stood there, he found that his own body changed somewhat. He held his hand out, manifesting a handheld mirror out of nothing.
In the reflection he saw himself; his messy, dark hair hung near his eyes; from their emerald complexion, his irises took on a golden radiance.
'The Creator's power...It must've changed my entire physiology,' he thought.
All of the power in his hands was almost too much to comprehend, yet he acclimated to it naturally. Possessing the authority of the Creator ascended his very existence, perceiving the layers of reality, the folds of the universe that reached into other realms, dimensions higher and lower.
With a slow gesture of his hand, he moved the dormant stars in the seen distance.
Like parting light curtains, he pushed aside the burning, spherical giant, peering towards the great darkness.

A void laid in the cosmos; a spiraling expanse where no stars laid, no planets dwelled, and no galaxies persisted–a place of nothingness.
'That's where it is–the "Ravager." An entire half of the universe is gone, just like that,' he observed.
There was no other path but to face the reality-devastating creature, seeing as it would simply continue to feast upon whatever he may create. With a simple inhale and exhale, he folded the space between himself and his target, creating a wormhole.
He stepped through the spatial gate, immediately finding himself in a pitch-black void. In that abyssal expanse, he felt "it" before he saw anything; the manifestation of the end. The entity was much different from how he initially met it; the serpentine-bodied, humanoid amassed a swarm of tendrils from its flesh, each intertwining with the blank matter in the abyss.
"There you are," he quietly muttered to himself.
The abyss opened itself to the sight of the one that had feasted on the cosmos; the sable-fleshed horror floated in the void, sitting upon the darkness like a throne.
[Anomaly identified.]
In simple terms, he likened the Ravager's power to be like that of a "delete" button for anything it touched, even more so, it seemed to bolster itself with the energy of that which it erased. Based on its knowledge of the Authority of Creation, he came to one, indisputable conclusion–
["There is no limit to what it can erase."]
As he observed this truth, he found himself on the receiving end of the Ravager's ire–
Its body morphed rapidly, expanding as each tendril took the form of bestial jaws, large enough to swallow planets whole. The plentiful swarm of colossal mouths each built up the eradicating force in their maws, coming to release it all towards him.
In each hand, he condensed the space he held, rapidly folding it in on itself before the space itself took a spherical, unstable shape–
["Black Hole"] ["Supercharge"]
Each of the cosmic orbs was amplified in their gravitational pull, yet he remained unfazed as the mouths closed in, nearly expelling their destructive breaths. He drew in a quick breath before bringing both black hole-carrying hands together, merging the spheres–
["Impervious"]
—The exact moment the black holes collided, he protected himself. A distorted wave rippled through the void, bending the folds of reality from the echoes of lost gravity.
In that instant, the world-devouring mouths were decimated by the gravitational ripple.
"Phew," he breathed out.
It wasn't anything he was trained in, simply letting his own imagination lead his actions. Still, watching the ripples throughout the void, he found himself in surprise of his own power.
"Phenomena of the universe will do nothing for you; a futile resistance."
The voice of the inter-dimensional terror rang through the black stretch. It was something he was becoming well aware of, having to acclimate to the different territory of power he now stood within.
'It exists above standard dimensions. Natural forces of the universe won't have any real effect on it–that means I need to get creative,' he thought.
As the Ravager manifested more and more of its world-devouring tendrils, he snapped his fingers once again–
The black void shifted with the empty space becoming that of stained glass like the interior of a holy church.
["It wasn't a question of power nor authority. The clash of creation and destruction was a battle of deduction; the puzzle of overcoming two opposing spectrums of transcendent existences."]
