Chapter 184 Stonewall

Chapter 184 Stonewall

We were rushing through the city to get to the train before the elemental military showed up. I pulled up Tommy's shop window while we were running. The shop window followed me as I ran.

"Hey, Dylan. Where are you going?" Tommy said.

"No time. Do you have more of those blue diamonds done?" I said.

"Yep. Everything except the really valuable, ancient, or mythical pieces, which don't amount to a lot of extra diamonds," he said. "That will be $30,000,000. You're clearly very busy, so I'll give you the rare pieces back at another time."

'System, transfer the money. This time, behind Tommy's counter so it doesn't get knocked over.'

[Done]

"Thanks! Now, I don't know how Hope is going to absorb the diamonds while you run," Tommy said.

"Hope, jump over Tommy's counter and absorb the diamonds, then jump back here," I said.

"On it," Hope said. She hopped into the rip in space that was Tommy's shop and rolled over the counter. "Where are the diamonds?"

"Oh, they're right here," Tommy said.@@@@

I kept running with Tommy's window trailing behind me. I ran and through groups of people. I jumped over stalls and climbed walls. Anything to get to the train as fast as possible.

I could see the train in sight. I ran up to the turnstiles, put some silver sables into the slot and it dinged. I went through the turnstiles and ran to the train that was just arriving.

I stood right in front of the doors as they were opening, and was greeted with a bunch of militarily dressed people. It was the elemental army. I stepped to the side in the hopes that they hadn't recognized me, but a hand grabbed my collar and yanked on it.

I was turned around and came face to face with a grizzled looking man with scars all over his face. He was wearing an officer's outfit and had several medals on his chest.

"Mr Sanguis, I believe. We haven't met yet. My name is Major General Stonewall. I'll be placing you under arrest for... something. Stealing from the military," Stonewall said.

His hands and forearms exploded into rocks that flew everywhere. I stepped away from him and said, "I'm sorry man. I didn't mean to hurt you, but you really left me no choice."

"You couldn't hurt me if you tried," Stonewall said. He grew his forearms and hands back to their normal rocky form.

"Just allow a trial by combat or send all your men to fight us. This song and dance is getting old," I said, actually yawning this time.

"Ok, I will. Men! Get them and restrain them!" He said pointing at me and Hope.

The soldiers clicked their bracelets a couple times, and they changed into their elemental forms. They didn't get any larger, but they were probably keeping that in check because we had a ceiling over our heads. It would put them at a disadvantage to be taller.

Most of them changed into some form of rock, metal, minerals or earth adjacent materials like sand and clay. Hope clicked her bracelet twice and changed into her diamond form but normal human size as well.

They surrounded us and then sent fighters in one or two at a time. It wasn't exactly the best strategy, but I wasn't going to argue with an advantage.

I kicked the first two in the chest, exploding them into pieces, except for their heads. They were fine though. I could see them already starting to regenerate their bodies. I was pulled my punches a bit. Or rather, my kicks.

Hope was doing the same. She punched one in the chest, exploding him, then she spun around and back hand fisted another one in the chest, exploding him as well.

Then she did a handstand front flip onto another guy, wrapping her legs around his head. She used her forward momentum to tip him backwards and slam down on his neck as his body hit the ground, breaking off his head.

That was when they all rushed us at once. I looked at Hope and she looked at me. A silent communication of expressions took place and we formulated a plan in that split second. I didn't have telepathic communication with her, but I didn't need to.

She jumped at me with her head and arms forwards positioning her body horizontally. I grabbed her by the arms and began swinging her around in a circle as fast as I possibly could, which was really fast.

This wasn't like normal human swinging. This was incredibly super powered swinging. And I was swinging a person that was made of the hardest material on earth.

When they rushed us, Hope's legs and feet slammed into and broke apart dozens of men continuously. They just didn't stop coming even though we were obliterating them.

Eventually, we ran out of men to obliterate. All of the men that had been on the train were disabled from the fight for at least the next 10 or more minutes. I looked at all the heads on the ground. They were regenerating, but it wasn't fast like Stonewall.

I looked over at Stonewall and he was furious. "How dare you make a mockery of my men! I will destroy you!"
