Vampire Cultivation System in a Hidden World of Monsters

Chapter 119 Mystic Creek

Chapter 119 Mystic Creek

i helped get the theater of dreams, my women, and chad out of the tour bus, then johnny and his boys out of their cars. then i helped random people whose cars had flipped over or turned onto their sides.

after everyone was out of their cars, victoria, mira, maven, alice, and i started flipping the cars right side up by hand. we were the only ones strong enough to do it.

once all our cars and the cars of random strangers were upright, and every non functioning car had been pulled off the side of the road, we went back on our merry way. although, we had a closer destination now than we had previously. we were going to stop in the supposed monster capital of the world, mystic creek.

i would see how monster infested it really was. we had to stop for car repairs. all of our vehicles were heavily busted up and needed new windows. mystic creek was the closest place on the gps that had car repair shops.

plural. multiple shops. we weren't going to entrust the repairs of our entire entourage of cars to a single shop. that would take a month, and a month was all we had.

when we made it to mystic creek, we each took a different repair shop. we tried to portion them out so the same amount of repairs were being done by each shop, so they would all get done around the same time.

once we had all gotten our cars into a repair shop, we all checked into a hotel. then i started walking around town. i wasn't sure exactly what i was looking for. just someplace that gave me an in to the monster underground.

victoria, mira, lara, and chad wanted to get rest. johnny and the boys had done the same. they all stayed in their hotel rooms and slept. even the theater of dreams didn't want to join me. the only one who wanted to join me on my adventure was alice.

i hadn't spent much time with alice in the last couple days. it was nice to spend some time with her. unfortunately, since she was a vampire and didn't have access to any of shikasa's blessings, we had to wait until the sun went down to explore.

we hung out in the hotel bar until night. when the sun was down, we hit the town. her and i had had a couple drinks already and had chatted some about the upcoming doom of lilith black and her army, but we hadn't talked about much else and i was curious about a couple things.

"do you want to be?" i asked.

"by you? very much so. i feel like i've finally found the right man to 'set me straight' as they say," she said. she giggled at her comment.

"well that sounds like a plan," i said. "we can do it as soon as we get back to the hotel. you have your own room, right?"

"yes, i do. wait, what's that?" she said, pointing at a shop. there was a neon sign of hands over a crystal ball and tarot cards.

"you never seen a psychic shop before?" i said.

"oh i have. i just felt like being dramatic and pointing it out by saying 'what's that?'" she said, giggling again.

"always with the theatrics," i said, as i booped her adorable nose. booping is where you tap the end of your finger on someone's nose, usually a dog, but it can be done to people.

i looked at the psychic shop and noticed something peculiar. there were also neon lit up golden medallions in the sign. i recognized them not as medallions, but as golden giblets, the primary currency used in the monster underground.

"let's check it out. i have a feeling we'll find what i'm looking for here," i said. i opened the door and gestured for her to go inside. "ladies first."

she giggled again and entered. when i crossed the threshold, i got a weird feeling. i took a few more steps and stumbled. i looked ahead of me and alice was laying on the floor.

"alice," i said. then darkness clouded my vision and i collapsed to the floor myself.
