Infinite Evolution of My Territory

Chapter 49

Chapter 49

C49 – This Was the First Time Qiang Nantie Had Seen Anytus

The primeval forest was dense with ancient trees, and the pathways within were a labyrinthine tangle. Countless behemoths from a bygone age roamed freely.

Guided by Anytus, they steered clear of the colossal predators and managed to hunt down several animals. The creatures of this era were exceptionally ferocious, dwarfing the ferocity of tigers in times to come.

Yet, Anytus and his companions were formidable, capable of felling these beasts with a mere punch. Qiang Nantie observed that their hunting tactics were rudimentary, employing the most brutal methods to take down their prey.

Seeing an opportunity to improve their approach, he turned to Anytus and offered, “Actually, I know of quicker and more efficient ways to hunt.”

Intrigued, Anytus inquired, “What methods?”

Qiang Nantie shared several strategies, such as baiting, setting traps, and encircling prey—techniques that, in these ancient times, were considered ingenious.

Anytus was visibly impressed by the cleverness of Qiang Nantie’s suggestions. He burst into laughter and exclaimed, “The tribe believes I possess unparalleled wisdom, but I see that you are truly the most sagacious among us. Upon my return, I must recommend you for the role of priest!”

The position of a priest held significant stature within the tribe, reserved for those of exceptional intellect.

However, Qiang Nantie politely declined the offer. He had not journeyed here to become a shaman of a primitive society. After all, this place was merely the Trial Land, and once his trial was complete, he would have to depart.

At Anytus’s request, Qiang Nantie expounded on his methods, which Anytus then put into practice. It wasn’t long before they successfully ensnared a leopard in one of the newly set traps.

Without Anytus needing to intervene, the other tribesmen were able to dispatch the leopard with ease, much to their delight. The leopard, far more savage than any deer, was a testament to their newfound prowess. They held Qiang Nantie in high regard for his intelligence, and their smiles conveyed newfound respect rather than seeing him as a liability.

After some time, they returned laden with their bounty, bringing joy to the entire tribe. The success of this hunt, yielding more game than ever before without a single injury or loss of life, was unprecedented.

Previously, casualties were a grim reality of their hunts. This time, they had Qiang Nantie to thank for sharing simple yet life-saving wisdom with Anytus, which had spared them from harm.

The entire tribe held his wisdom in high esteem.

Only Qiang Nantie was aware that he had merely stated the obvious.

He recognized the significance of knowledge and culture.

Subsequently, Qiang Nantie relocated to an area nearer to Anytus.

Unexpectedly, Qiang Nantie discovered that Monima had a sister who was part human, part serpent. She was strikingly beautiful, rivaling Monima herself.

She found Qiang Nantie fascinating, having heard of his exceptional wisdom. In her leisure, she enjoyed hearing Qiang Nantie share various intriguing tales.

Observing this, Qiang Nantie commented, “The shell of this black turtle seems quite extraordinary.”

“Tortoise shell?”

Anytus scrutinized the shell, experiencing a profound shift in his thoughts, which led him to a deep epiphany.

Watching Anytus, Qiang Nantie mused that he truly was a child of fortune, needing only slight guidance to comprehend so much.

For several days, Anytus pondered over the turtle shell.

In that instant, the Yin and Yang energies of the universe converged, creating a Tai-Chi Formation that shrouded the earth. A sound beyond words filled the air.

Qiang Nantie had remained by the river all this time, sustained by provisions brought by the empress.

Thus, when the Tai-Chi Formation materialized, the most refined Yin and Yang energies descended upon him.

He closed his eyes, finding himself in a primordial void, empty of all but the same sensation he felt upon awakening the Heart of Overlord.

A spectrum of light caught his eye. “Is that not the Heart of Overlord?” he exclaimed in astonishment.

Drawn by curiosity, he approached. The Heart of Rainbow Lord, surrounded by Yin and Yang, formed another Tai-Chi Formation, while a deep, mystical resonance echoed around the Heart of Rainbow Lord.

Qiang Nantie couldn’t grasp the meaning, yet he sensed its profoundness.

Yin and Yang transformed into the Tai-Chi Diagram, nestled within the Eight Trigrams. The vibrant Overlord Space morphed into a cascade of rainbow light, merging into the diagram. A burst of iridescent radiance emerged, prompting Qiang Nantie to close his eyes. Moments later, an ancient scroll descended from the heavens, bathed in a spectrum of colors.

Qiang Nantie’s curiosity was piqued. Had the Rainbow Lord Space and the forces of Yin and Yang conjured this ancient scroll?

He carefully took the scroll in his hands, but his astonishment was palpable upon inspecting its contents – or rather, the lack thereof.

”How is this possible?”

The meaning eluded him. It was merely a blank ancient scroll. What could it possibly signify?
