With his order, the doctors and nurses sprang into action. Some carried bottles of the lake water to the inpatient area, while the soldiers stored the rest in the hospital's medical storage.

Standing beside a hospital bed, Du Zhaoyi watched as a doctor gave a patient a mouthful of lake water. As the patient drank, Du Zhaoyi's eyes widened in surprise.

The deformed part of the patient's body began to change visibly. The bulging, almost ruptured eyes slowly returned to their normal appearance.

Once the transformation stopped, the chief doctor immediately examined the patient.

Du Zhaoyi leaned closer and anxiously asked, "How is it?"

The chief doctor withdrew his hands and said, "Commander Du, this is a medical miracle! The patient's eyes have fully recovered!"

As soon as his words fell, Du Zhaoyi smiled for the first time.

"After the acid rain, the woman seems to have returned to Juncheng City and then disappeared from the radar. Today, she finally reappeared and entered the Juncheng Military Base."

Wu Yehao listened to the report and fell into deep thought. After a moment of silence, he took the laptop from his subordinate, read the data, and said, "Head to the Juncheng Military Base."

Ran. I might see her today."

Yao Yuechuan's voice became excited when he asked, "Where? Where is she now?"

"She is at the Juncheng Military Base," Wu Yehao replied.

Just as he said this, his subordinate came to report. "Captain, we are ready to go."

Hearing this, Wu Yehao told Yao Yuechuan, "I will contact you again after I get into the base." He then ended the call without waiting for Yao Yuechuan's response. Turning to his subordinate, he said, "Let's go."

In Yucheng City, Yao Yuechuan had just finished scolding Wu Yehao over the abrupt end of the call. Once he was done, he quickly put on his gear, grabbed his weapon and backpack, and rushed out of his quarters.

When the patrolling soldiers saw him fully equipped, one of them asked, "Captain Yao, where are you going? Didn't Commander Fu order you to assist with Professor Shao's research?"

"I need to find my younger sister. If Uncle Fu asks, tell him I'm heading to the Juncheng Military Base," he said as he hurried away.

Watching him disappear in the corner, the soldiers exchanged confused glances before one of them said, "I will report this to Commander Fu."
