Instead, he turned to Jin Tong and Xiaobai and said, "Now that we're no longer in a hurry to leave, you two can go into the Flower Branch domain for now. It'll be easier for me to act on my own."
Neither of them raised any objections, and two of them proceeded to enter through the door of silver light one after the other.
However, Xiaobai had only just entered the Flower Branch domain when a resounding boom rang out from behind him, and the door of silver light was closed before Jin Tong had a chance to make it inside.
"What's going on, Master?" he hurriedly asked through voice transmission, but received no response.
Meanwhile, the entire area around Han Li and Jin Tong had already been transformed into a world of snow and ice.
The two of them had sprung up on top of a pavilion, while the ground below was covered in a thick layer of ice with countless ice spikes pointing directly up at the heavens.
"She sure is stubborn!" Jin Tong grumbled.
"It looks like a battle is going to be unavoidable," Han Li sighed as he peered deep into the forest, where all of the trees up ahead had already been frozen solid and were in the process of disintegrating into icy powder.
The crumbling trees disintegrated to open up a wide path, revealing a woman in a green dress seated atop a crystalline, lotus flower throne that was racing through the air like lightning.
It was none other than Immortal Lord Miao Fa.
"I've already surrounded this entire area with my spirit domain, let's see how you get away now!" Immortal Lord Miao Fa yelled as she drew to a halt in mid-air around a thousand feet away.
"Your sect is currently under attack from the Reincarnation Palace, so why insist on coming after us when there are so many bigger fish to fry?" Han Li asked with slightly furrowed brows.
"Don't you worry about that. None of those Reincarnation Palace scoundrels will be allowed to get away! I'm going to capture you first so I can find out what all of you are plotting!" Immortal Lord Miao Fa replied in a cold voice.
"You sure talk big for an old hag! Who the hell do you think you are?" Jin Tong yelled as she bared her sharp teeth, while the killing intent in Immortal Lord Miao Fa's eyes only became more pronounced upon hearing this.
"Sheesh, you look even uglier when you're angry!" Jin Tong jeered. "Who gave you the courage to come out and embarrass yourself like this? My uncle's going to do you a favor by teaching you a lesson so you can take a good look at yourself!"
"To think that a pair of early-Great Encompassment Stage juniors would dare to display such insolence to me! I bet you two aren't even aware of the massive gulf that exists between early and mid-Great Encompassment cultivators," Immortal Lord Miao Fa sneered.
"Looks like she doesn't know what happened to Gui Lingzi, Uncle," Jin Tong chuckled through voice transmission.
"That's good news for us. We don't have much time, so we have to take her down as quickly as possible," Han Li replied.
During their previous encounter, Han Li had been completely powerless against this ability of hers, yet on this occasion, it was barely able to trap him for even a second.
However, she remained unfazed as she stood up from her lotus flower throne, and she stepped out into the air, while the crystalline throne descended onto the ground below.
With a flick of her wrist, a blue longsword that was around three feet in length appeared in her grasp, and it seemed to have been an immortal treasure of quite a high caliber.
"Where's your little friend? Get her to come out as well so I don't have to hunt the two of you down separately!" Immortal Lord Miao Fa declared in a cold voice, but she received no response.
"Please don't scare Jin Tong, she's very timid and gets frightened easily," Han Li said, and Immortal Lord Miao Fa's eyelids twitched slightly upon hearing this.
Jin Tong had ventured into the Nine Origins Temple to kill a Gold Devouring Immortal, and she had constantly been causing trouble during her imprisonment. If she could be referred to as timid and fearful, then it would be a struggle to find anyone that could be referred to as courageous.
"No matter. If she doesn't want to come out, then I'll just have to make her," Immortal Lord Miao Fa said with a cold smile, and as soon as her voice trailed off, her longsword flew out of her grasp before rising up into the air.

As soon as the cloud of mist descended upon Han Li, a layer of white frost instantly took shape over his sword-wielding hand.
He looked up into the sky to discover blue light flashing like lightning within the glacial mist above, and in the next instant, countless streaks of blue swordlight came raining down from the heavens in a torrential barrage.
In response, a burst of immense time law powers surged out of Han Li's body, and a bright moon rose up into the air behind him, releasing countless rays of golden light that caused everything in the surrounding area to fall into a stagnant state, including the vast cloud of glacial mist.
However, the streaks of blue swordlight hadn't been slowed down at all, and it seemed as if they were impervious to the effects of Han Li's time law powers.
Han Li immediately activated his Infernal Devilish Eyes, upon which he discovered that the glacial qi released by the streaks of swordlight had frozen the space around them solid, granting them a protective barrier that kept Han Li's time law powers at bay.
In the blink of an eye, the storm of swordlight was already upon him, and Han Li had no choice but to swing his sword upward in retaliation.
A massive whip of golden lightning erupted out of the tip of his sword, and as it was swung through the air, it formed a dazzling, golden arched bridge that managed to ward off all of the descending streaks of swordlight.
A string of resounding booms rang out as the storm of blue swordlight bombarded the golden arched bridge, and finally, the assault became too much to bear as even the bridge of lightning was frozen solid before shattering into countless pieces.
Without the golden bridge standing in their path, the storm of blue swordlight came crashing down with unstoppable power, completely destroying the ground below.
As the storm of swordlight continued to fall, layers upon layers of blue ice began to accumulate over one another on the ground, reaching over a hundred feet tall.
However, Immortal Lord Miao Fa quickly noticed that Han Li was nowhere to be seen.
