Flashy Adventurer System : Show Off to Get Stronger!

Chapter 319: Intensive Limit Check (1)

Chapter 319: Intensive Limit Check (1)

'Hmm...How should I spend my system points?'

Shye had recently amassed a lot of points: 19,000 in total from wiping out an entire goblin village, and around 31,360 from his recent duel with Jason.

Add that to his remaining 6,000 points, Shye had around 56,362 points to utilize.

'For now, let's allocate around 26,000 points to upgrade my stats...'

After pondering and tapping away for around five minutes, here's what his stats looked like in exchange for 21,600 points.

[Attributes]:

He would've allocated a few points in Wisdom had it been unlocked.

Unfortunately, the system leveling up to level 3 was not enough to unlock the attribute, leading Shye to believe that Wisdom is much more important than it seemed.

'Now then, let's try how strong I am with my newly upgraded attributes.'

Since he had three days of free time, Shye decided to complete a few system quests to recover at least a small part of the points he spent to upgrade his attributes.

After doing an inventory check, just like what most responsible adventurers do, Shye entered the Derke Advanced Adventurer Zone.

'I should also do an intensive limit check...' Shye thought as he looked at the map in his hands, proceeding towards an area where (C-) ranked creatures were aplenty.

[You've accepted the quest: Hunt: 10 Blood Bulls]

The scarlet grasslands, where the (C-) ranked Blood Bulls reside, weren't that far from the zone's entrance.

Moreover, Blood Bulls were among the most dangerous of (C-) ranked creatures as they always stayed in close proximity to each other, hence, they were the perfect target for Shye's intensive limit check.

Heck, the time it took to travel from the scarlet grasslands to the metallic cliffs was longer than the time it took for him to take out the darned metallic lizard.

Once again satisfied with the results of his (C) rank hunt, Shye proceeded to hunt what he believed to be his current limit: (B-) ranked creatures.

At his current level, Shye didn't know whether he could defeat the apex (B-) ranked creatures such as Titanium Demon Apes, hence, he decided to try.

[You've accepted the quest: Hunt: Titanium Demon Ape]

After walking for an hour and a half, Shye finally arrived at the location where such apes reside: The Hollow Rainforest.

'F*ck this place looks dangerous...' Shye inwardly cursed upon seeing the vine and shrubbery-infested rainforest.

Once he entered the area, he knew his vision would be compromised.

Therefore, he opted to apply several powders on his body to ensure he could detect his opponent before being detected himself.

'Aiihh...This darned rainforest!' Shye inwardly complained as he carefully walked through the vines and dense thickets.

Fortunately, the rainforest wasn't all vines and bushes.

After going through numerous thickets—his heart throbbing in anxiousness, Shye finally arrived at an area that actually looked like a rainforest.

'Haaah...Finally.' Shye heaved a sigh of relief.

Now, he could once again focus on his goal of searching for a Titanium Demon Ape.

Unfortunately, things wouldn't be so easy every time, especially now that he was trying to hunt a smart monstrous creature.

It took him approximately four hours of wandering before finally stumbling upon what appeared to be a lair, extending further underground.

'Tch...I can't just go down this narrow lair now, can I?'

Smarter than he once was, Shye opted to wait atop a tree.

He searched for information about the Titanium Demon Ape in the Adventurer Encyclopedia and it stated that such apes indeed sometimes build lairs extending underground.

'This is starting to get way too dangerous...' Shye thought to himself upon witnessing the sun's descent. 'If this darned monkey doesn't come out in the next hour, I will have to continue this tomorrow...'

After a string of unfortunate events during his hunt for a Titanium Demon Ape, he finally caught his first stroke of luck.

"OOOAAOOHH!"

Just when Shye was about to leave, he suddenly heard a spine-chilling monkey howl, prompting him to turn his head and look at the lair once more.

The entrance slightly shook, revealing a harrowing creature in its full glory.
