Chapter 59: Entering Endless Forest, Natural Treasures.

"Thi... This."

Leo's eyes almost popped up as he gawked at the towering trees in the distance. Even if they were still quite far away from the endless forest, Leo could already see the endless trees that almost reached/pierced the sky.

With a height that easily reaches 15-30 meters, Leo doesn't know how or where they originated from.

"That... is the Endless Forest!?" Leo asks Rosa beside him for confirmation. (Although he already has guessed within him he still wanted to confirm his thoughts.)

"Yes, I was also shocked when I first saw it," Rosa replied as she also gazed toward the distance, her thoughts were unknown as she revealed a weak smile on her face.

Soon, after another 10 minutes of walking, they finally arrive at the periphery of the Endless Forest.

The smell of the woods and the freshness of the air that was different from the decaying smell of the city immediately hit their senses, causing them to release a comfortable sigh of relief.

Huff~.

"We finally arrive."

Roland heavily said as he surveyed the forest solemnly, his thoughts were unknown as he constantly eyed the towering trees in the distance.

"Jake, what do you think?" After minutes of stillness, Roland finally speaks, breaking the silence in the process as he asks Jake who happens to be beside Skeleton #2.

"Hmm... other than insects at the level of 15 and below. I couldn't detect any life forms within the area of 750 meters that could be a threat to us." Jake calmly said as he patted the skull of Skeleton #2, clearly enjoying the cold energy it released.

"Hmm, understood, Let's go," Roland commanded before moving to the front, holding his heavy shield as he steadily moved forward as if it weighed nothing.

Although they are still on the periphery of the Endless Forest, the group still maintains a cautious stance. Since being a little careful is nonetheless always good.

That...

As they entered the Endless Forest...

After just walking for 15 minutes, Leo in the middle part of the group suddenly paused in his tracks before looking at the strange purple-brown root in the bushes in the distance.

"What happened?" Sebastian, wearing his usual bronze monocle, asks Leo in puzzlement upon seeing his eyes staring at the bushes in the distance.

"Please wait a minute... I probably found something useful/good." Leo replied loudly, causing the group to halt and look at him in confusion, wondering what kind of goods Leo found.

Not bothering about the look of the group, Leo approaches the protruding purple-brown root on the ground, carefully removing the soil and sand sticking in it without damaging its roots.

"D*mn, an entire fruit of Devil Fruit!"

"This... Wind Mango!?" Leo exclaimed as he began to farm/harvest inside the forest,

making the group dizzy as they constantly watched Leo move from time to time.

Of course, the group didn't mind Leo's behavior/actions since they also got lots of benefits from Leo's harvest.

(One of the fruits Leo harvests increases their perception by a small amount upon consumption!)

If not for Leo, the group would probably not dare to casually touch/pick the plants and fruits inside this forest, since they have no idea if the fruits are edible or not.

They even remembered that lots of humans died before when the apocalypse started due to them consuming the wrong and poisonous fruits.

Soon, another half a day passed by...

After moving for a while, as Leo was pleased with his harvest, Jake at the front of the group suddenly halted as he gestured toward the group to stop.

"What is it?" Roland asked solemnly as he slightly raised his shield, guarding toward the surroundings.

"I think I detected a group of insects, at least at the foundation realm 700 meters away...

"It's just that, they vanish within my senses before I can track/locate them..."

Jake solemnly said in puzzlement before becoming dazed for a while (Probably checking his character panel).

"This... I see. Leo don't try to harvest for the time being and sticks to the group." Roland nodded his head before looking at Leo seriously.

Hearing this, Leo nodded his head, accepting the command as he tried his best not to look at the surrounding trees and bushes in the distance. Afraid that he wouldn't be able to control the urge within himself and rushes to collect the natural treasures in the surroundings if he sees one.

A single natural treasure is almost equivalent to a single process potion... and a process potion is a necessary material to upgrade his class job!

It's already been months, yet he was still stuck at the lowest level of class job! Leo was slowly losing his patience!

As the group was moving within the silent forest slowly and cautiously, the ground which was normal before suddenly issued a quake, making the group slightly puzzled before looking at the surroundings warily...
