Chapter 511 Tanya256
Chapter 511 Tanya256
Liam coughed lightly and forced a normal expression onto his face.
"Yeah. Everything is fine."
It was not a very convincing answer.
Danill narrowed his eyes and studied him for a few seconds. Liam almost thought he was going to press further, but eventually the werewolf shook his head and decided to let it go. Whatever weird thing Liam had just experienced clearly wasn’t something he wanted to talk about.
"Alright," Danill said slowly.
Liam silently thanked him.
The last thing he wanted to do right now was explain that his system had suddenly returned from whatever vacation it had apparently gone on and immediately started insulting him.
Danill adjusted the strap of his bag before continuing.
"As I was saying, I realized something."
Liam looked at him.
Danill’s expression became more serious.
"Tatiana must have some kind of history."
Liam nodded.
That much seemed obvious now.
"You don’t just wake up one day and decide to hate every man you come across."
The words hung in the air.
Liam thought back to every interaction he had witnessed involving Tatiana. The distance she kept. The way she avoided physical contact. The walls she put up around herself.
No.
That wasn’t normal behavior.
Something had happened.
Something bad.
Danill slowly smiled.
"So I kept digging."
Liam folded his arms.
"And?"
Danill’s smile widened.
"I found it."
That immediately got Liam’s full attention.
His eyebrows rose slightly.
"You found something?"
Danill nodded.
"I found something."
Without wasting another second, he reached into his bag and pulled out a laptop.
The device looked old compared to the expensive technology Liam was used to seeing around, but it still worked perfectly. Danill flipped it open and placed it on a nearby metal crate.
The screen lit up.
Several folders appeared.
Danill clicked through them quickly.
A few seconds later he opened a webpage.
The moment it loaded, Liam stepped closer.
At the top of the page was an old article.
The headline immediately caught his attention.
"Government Official Assassinated, Daughter Claims Political Cover-Up Ignored By Authorities."
Liam’s eyes narrowed.
He moved closer.
The article wasn’t from a major newspaper.
In fact, it looked more like an old community archive buried deep inside forgotten corners of the internet.
He began reading.
The more he read, the more his expression changed.
Tatiana’s father had once been involved in government affairs.
Not a major politician.
Not a famous leader.
But important enough to make enemies.
According to the article, he had been murdered.
Brutally.
The official story claimed it was a robbery gone wrong.
A criminal act.
Nothing more.
But that wasn’t the part that made Liam’s jaw tighten.
The article continued.
After her father’s death, the man responsible had allegedly attempted to sexually assault Tatiana.
At the time she had only been a child.
Twelve years old.
Liam’s grip slowly tightened.
Fortunately she escaped.
Physically unharmed.
But that should have been the beginning of justice.
Instead it became the beginning of something else.
Nobody believed her.
Not the police.
Not the courts.
Not the media.
Nobody.
The article explained that shortly afterward another man suddenly confessed.
A thug.
A nobody.
According to official records, he admitted to murdering Tatiana’s father over a financial dispute.
The case was closed.
The police celebrated.
The newspapers moved on.
The thug went to prison.
And the real killer walked away.
Liam felt irritation rising in his chest.
The more he read, the more obvious it became.
The whole thing smelled rotten.
A convenient confession.
A convenient ending.
A convenient criminal.
Everything about it felt manufactured.
Liam continued reading.
The article became more emotional toward the end.
Almost desperate.
As if whoever wrote it had been begging people to listen.
Begging people to believe.
Begging people to care.
Eventually Liam looked away from the screen.
His expression had become serious.
"Where did you find this?"
Danill didn’t answer immediately.
Instead he pointed toward a small section beneath the article.
"Look at the author."
Liam lowered his eyes.
A username sat there.
Simple.
Plain.
Easy to overlook.
"Tanya256."
Liam read it aloud.
"Tanya256."
Danill slowly nodded.
Then he closed the laptop.
The screen went black.
Silence lingered between them for a moment.
Liam finally looked up.
"Tatiana?"
Danill nodded.
"Yeah."
Liam frowned.
"You’re sure?"
"I’m sure."
He leaned against the crate.
"She was twelve when everything happened."
Liam listened carefully.
"She posted this when she was seventeen."
The realization settled heavily.
Five years.
Five years carrying all that.
Five years watching the wrong person sit in prison while the real monster walked free.
Five years of nobody listening.
Nobody believing.
Nobody caring.
Liam understood something immediately.
This wasn’t just anger.
This wasn’t just trauma.
This was betrayal.
The kind that changed people forever.
The kind that taught someone that the world wasn’t fair.
The kind that taught someone trust was dangerous.
Suddenly Tatiana’s behavior made far more sense.
Her distance.
Her walls.
Her hatred.
Her distrust.
All of it.
Liam crossed his arms.
"So what happened after she posted it?"
Danill sighed.
"Nothing."
Liam stared.
"What do you mean nothing?"
"I mean exactly that."
Danill shrugged.
"Nobody cared."
A bitter smile appeared on his face.
"The post barely got any views."
Liam remained silent.
Danill continued.
"Most people never even opened it."
"The few that did thought she was making things up."
"No investigation."
"No attention."
"No public support."
"Nothing."
Liam slowly clenched his jaw.
The injustice of it all irritated him far more than he expected.
A child watched her father get murdered.
The murderer tried to assault her.
She survived.
She told the truth.
Then the entire world collectively decided not to listen.
For several seconds Liam said nothing.
Then suddenly he spoke.
"Send me the names."
Danill blinked.
"What?"
Liam looked directly at him.
"The man in prison."
His voice was calm.
Too calm.
"And the government official."
Danill stared at him.
The atmosphere around Liam had subtly changed.
Not enough for most people to notice.
But Danill noticed.
Something dangerous had appeared beneath the surface.
The werewolf slowly lowered the laptop.
"What are you planning?"
Liam didn’t answer immediately.
Instead he turned around and started walking away.
His footsteps echoed softly through the quiet section of the factory.
Danill watched him leave.
"Hey!"
Liam kept walking.
"Where are you going?"
Finally Liam stopped.
He turned around.
A smile appeared on his face.
A very calm smile.
A very polite smile.
A very disturbing smile.
"On a side quest."
Then he turned and continued walking.
"Send me those names."
His voice echoed back through the hallway.
"And fast."
Danill remained frozen where he stood.
Every single hair on his body suddenly stood upright.
He couldn’t explain why.
Maybe it was his werewolf instincts.
Maybe it was experience.
Maybe it was simply common sense.
But one thing became very clear.
Someone was about to have a very bad day.
