Chapter 775. End of the national competition 2

Chapter 775. End of the national competition 2

Julian Seir floated above the volcanic region in the natural secret realm with a smile on his face. Just as he had expected. He was not surprised by the outcome of things. It was all within expectation.

The first place naturally belonged to Kailen. Kailen was the strongest participant in the competition. It was only natural. As for him, he was satisfied with his placement. He would manage to join the NGU.

At this moment, the participants were looking at the rankings. They were the top ten, and it was finalized. They all had expressions of joy on their faces. Finally, this whole ordeal had managed to come to an end.

They had all come so far, all the way from the interdistrict competitions in their cities, through the continental competitions where guilds from various cities in their continents competed with each other, then to the intercontinental competitions, and finally here they were, in the finalized top ten of the national level. It had been a grueling time. However, it has been worth it.

The continents and guilds they represented were currently in a state of euphoria at the moment. At this moment, all the participants felt the space around them ripple as they disappeared from the natural secret realm.

The guild leaders of the guilds the participants in the top ten represented could not believe their eyes. They would manage to obtain leadership positions in the NGU because their participants had become part of the top ten. From now on, they would be able to spread their wings and soar. With the secret realms and principle fragment towers of the NGU, the limitations they had on their path as transcendents would reduce. Also, with the backing of the NGU, their guilds would experience exponential growth.

Not only that, their representatives would also be members of the NGU. The higher-ups of the NGU would personally take the second to tenth ranked in as disciples and help on their journey as transcendents.

Dawnseer was currently over the moon. She was in the same mood as the other guild leaders. The higher-ups of her guild stared at her with admiration. This woman really has foresight. Their guild has already experienced an overnight status thanks to Kailen Darkhaven and Julian Seir.

But now that Kailen had become the first ranked, and had obtained a slot into the Venzula Empire Academy, and Julian Seir had become a member of the NGU, and a personal disciple of the NGU general HQ president, the Dawnseer Guild would never be the same again. Not only that, even Dawnseer herself had obtained a position in the NGU general HQ. She was an elder, as a Rank 4 novice-stage transcendent!! The Dawnseer Guild had spread its wings; it was time to take flight.

Lotus was also having similar feelings. Kailen Darkhaven, the first ranked of the NGU national competition, the one who had dazzled everyone and had obtained a slot into the Venzula Empire Academy, was a guest elder of her organization. This was more than enough publicity to push the syndicate to higher heights.

After the intercontinental competition, the syndicate had already become well known outside the southern continent due to Kailen’s phenomenal performance. One could only imagine the kind of image people had of the Lotus Assassin Syndicate now that Kailen had dazzled everyone in the national competition and obtained first place.

As for the southern continent, no other continent dared to look down on them ever again. They had not only produced two finalists, the two had managed to obtain first and second place in the national competition, and not by any small feat, but by demonstrating dazzling and terrifying power. Perhaps, even during the next NGU competitions, they would not see such a performance again.

Richtchard City was currently also one of the most popular cities in the empire. As for the Mayor of Richtchard City, Dester Hemsworth, someone posted a picture of him happily wasted in a party in the Richtchard City online. The man was so happy he could not help himself but land himself in a ’scandal.’ Many sighed and chuckled.

Venzula Empire.

15th continent.

Chrysanthemum city.

Southern part of the city.

In a bar.

Kailen and Julian were currently seated somewhere in a quiet corner, enjoying a few drinks. Several gazes and conversations about them brewed everywhere as a couple of ladies even threw them flirtatious glances.

"Looks like we won’t be meeting for a while," Julian said. He had become the disciple of the NGU president, Orthos Harven, and he would be dedicating his time into training in the NGU and performing certain duties required of him from now on. Also, Kailen had obtained the slot to enter the Venzula Empire Academy, where he would also be focused on increasing his strength. They would both be very busy and won’t encounter each other frequently for a while.

Kailen understood this perfectly. He replied, "Yeah."

Julian nodded. "Show those geniuses in the academy what’s good."

Kailen chuckled. "You know I’m not there to prove a point to them, right?"

Julian rolled his eyes. Of course he knew that. Kailen was solely focused on himself. Julian could even tell if no one caused any trouble for Kailen in the Venzula Empire Academy, he would quietly cultivate and keep a low profile until he graduated.

"Yeah yeah... just don’t confuse the ladies, okay?" Julian gestured with his hand, as he gobbled down some alcohol.

Kailen shook his head. This fellow and Charles would really get along. Same personality.

"I’m engaged," Kailen said.

Julian widened his eyes. "Was not expecting to hear that. Who’s the lucky lady?"

Kailen replied as warmth flashed through his eyes and the image of a white-haired, dainty beauty appeared in his mind. "Her name is Arrie Hall," Kailen said as he chewed on some fried rice. "Safe to say she’s a central part of how I’ve been able to come so far."

A glint of admiration flashed through Julian’s eyes on hearing Kailen’s words. This fellow still had a woman he loved, unlike him. Also, Kailen seemed very committed to her. This was quite admirable.

"So I have a sister-in-law now, huh?" Julian chuckled.

"Safe to say so," Kailen replied warmly and chuckled lightly.

Julian raised his glass. "Then cheers to her, and to your wedding in the future... I suppose."

Kailen raised his glass too. "Haha... Whatever man... Cheers..."

Suddenly, Julian’s expression shifted as he stared at the holographic screen that had popped up in front of him with surprise.

"You never told me you were the first transcendent from the light region of the universe," he said as he looked at Kailen with shock, and a smirk.

Kailen mused inwardly, "So the cat is finally out of the bag, huh." He shrugged. "You never asked."

Julian nodded and took another sip of his alcohol. "Fair point."
