Chapter 15 Original Adlet

Chapter 15 Original Adlet

"Before I come to you, I should deal with this disgusting thing first," said the being.

As soon as the being said that, a hole opened right next to her throne, and the dark hand holding the shining ember popped out.

"It's been years since I saw a physical manifestation of a Divine Authority belonging to one of those Heavenly chickens," said the being, her voice sharp The tone of her words was so chilling, it felt as though the temperature had dropped to an impossibly low, the frosty anger towards the Heavenly Gods seeping into the essence of the realm itself.

The ember began to shriek, its high-pitched wail echoing through the air, like the frantic scream of a pig in torment.

[PLEASE SPARE ME! OH! GREAT BEING. I BEG OF YOU I HAVE NOT DONE ANYTHING TO ANGER YOU. I WAS JUST FULFILLING THE DEAL I MADE WITH MY GOD.]

"Those incompetent fools—just what sort of things are they doing while sitting above? They are even using their Divine Authority for what? Giving consciousness to their Authority, using a soul as a medium. Just how far are they going to fall? The soul in this Authority even belongs to the body you are currently residing in, Foreigner," said the being. From the words, Ashok could feel that the Foreigner mentioned here was none other than him or more specifically his soul.

Though more than being called Foreigner, there was another thing that surprised Ashok: 'Adlet's Soul is in System'. With quick thinking, Ashok decided to use the unexpected knowledge to his advantage.

"I SACRIFICE THE ORIGINAL SOUL OF THIS BODY AS WELL," Ashok declared.

The gate, dark and ominous, slowly creaked open with an unsettling sound and a dense black mist poured from the opening, its presence suffocating and thick, swirling like a living entity started seeping out. No light could penetrate it, no eye could peer through. Within the swirling darkness, Adlet's soul, already weak and flickering after its violent removal from the ember, began to be drawn in. It writhed in desperation, caught in the pull of the dark mist, unable to resist. The soul seemed to scream in silence, its essence fading as it was sucked into the gate, vanishing from sight like a lost fragment of existence.

Once Adlet's soul was completely consumed, the gate pulsed once with an eerie, malevolent energy. Then, without a sound, it slammed shut and disappeared.

Ashok's thoughts swirled in a dark amusement as he observed the being's actions. 'DAMN! That was so satisfying to watch. I must say, if the veil wasn't there, she would have looked extremely sexy doing that. She even used a self-created tongue, one that she never used in the game. But looking at the gate and the black mist inside it, I know what she called just now – it was Abyss.

I hope that, Adlet has a good time living there with his new homies. If he does not forget his existence that is.'

As Adlet's soul was pulled into the Abyss, the focus shifted to the ember, now a small, glowing ball. It pulsated faintly, its light dimming as it transformed into a ball. Losing its soul - the ember transformed into its original self which was - the manifestation of the Divine Authority of Juan, the God of Fate.

"There is something useless inside it. You can have it back, Foreigner," she said. With a flick of her hand, she separated a tiny portion of the ball, sending it flying in Ashok's direction.

The small fragment, propelled by her motion, cut through the air with a speed that defied Ashok's expectations. It was like watching a comet streak toward him—a bright, almost ethereal light with a purpose. Before Ashok could even react, the fragment passed him, slipping effortlessly into his body. The moment the ball entered; Ashok felt a subtle shift within himself which did not last long.

As for the remaining Authority, it was also not spared from its impending fate, the veil that covered her hand, a shifting, ever-moving enigma in itself, began to extend slowly. With an almost predatory elegance, the veil wrapped around the essence, encasing it completely in its inky tendrils. In a matter of seconds, the veil consumed it entirely, swallowing the final remnants of the Authority.
