Hexia returned to the kitchen downstairs, began preparing tonight's dinner, and thought about the past events in the family.

It was a pity that her father had gone missing. Otherwise, she could have asked him how he had managed to win over her beautiful mother. Compared to her, Dad was just too ordinary.

Having prepared the meal, Hexia served a portion upstairs, ate some herself, and then placed the rest in the refrigerator. Uncle He Cheng would probably not come home for dinner until around 9 to 10 p.m.; he was likely still out hauling goods at the moment.

After cleaning up, Hexia took a bath in the bathroom, and then she went back to her room.
