Chapter 1024 1026: Magic
Chapter 1024 1026: Magic
*sigh*
Samuel had no idea what the Green Planet's consciousness was planning in the end about the other returnees.
And he had no plan to figure it out either.
What Samuel wanted to do was simply to fight against these magic beasts out of his own free will.
*sizzle* *sizzle*
Sensing the lightning element that had started to gather around Samuel, Riya blinked her eyes and silently took a few steps back.
She knew that Samuel has great control over his magic, but for a moment, Riya felt that it would be better for her not to get so close with him.
It felt really dangerous.
These magic beasts seemed to sense something because they became agitated. Roaring, screaming, and rushing forward madly.
Their instincts were warning them to stay as far away as possible from Samuel.
Yet...
They couldn't leave.
Riya saw these magic beasts roaring as the lightning elements surged forward from Samuel's side. The air cracked and countless yellow to purple lightning surged forth, filling the entire area.
Samuel had a smile on his face and he started to chants, a rare long chants.
"The surge of power spread through the world, crushing whatever stood in our paths. Lightning surge forth... lightning chain strike."
Boom!
The name of the strike seemed simple, yet Riya felt that the terrifying power of lightning gathered around Samuel and then traveled to countless magic beasts through his strike.
One strike.
And it seemed as if the world would be split into two.
Slash!
Countless magic beasts died instantly and the strike continued further while the lightning element leaked out, jumping from one magic beasts to another, forming a seemingly never-ending chains towards the passage.
The magic beasts that just came out were destroyed instantly and died before they could even reach the Green Planet.
It was terrifying.
But it was also breathtaking and beautiful.
Riya found herself captivated by the sight and she had to say that magic is truly worthy of the name.
It's beautiful.
It seemed to have the power to draw out the element to the fullest, creating the most beautiful scene in Riya's opinion.
"It's terrifying." Peter rubbed his arms together, feeling that he should stay as far away as possible from Samuel in the near future.
Even though he knew that Samuel is a magic warrior, but the scene presented in front of them made Peter really didn't want to stay close to Samuel in the near future.
Swish! Tep!
Jumping back, Peter made sure that he stayed on the back once again. For the current him, jumping several meters was not a big problem and this was something that he could do easily. His physical strength had long far surpassed the normal human's standard and not many people could possibly compare with him.
"You seem to be surprised, Peter." Dina had stopped using her magic from the moment Samuel used his magic spell.
"Uh huh." Peter nodded. "It's been a while since I see such a large scale magic spells being used by magic warriors."
"Magicians and magic warriors are different, huh?"
"Yeah, most magic warriors are more efficient...."
Bletak!
"Ahhh! What's that for, Dina?" Peter rolled to the back and rubbed his forehead in annoyance as he looked at Dina not far from him. He couldn't understand why Dina wanted to hit him like this.
"You speak as if you're saying that I'm using my magic inefficiently." Dina smiled and rubbed her hands together.
"I didn't mean you! I mean other magicians."
"Examples?"
Example?
Peter felt that he was breaking out in cold sweat when he heard Dina's question as his eyes darted around. His nervousness was incredibly visible in his face as he saw some people making trouble.
They seemed to be the magicians from the Magic Association.
"The magicians from the Magic Association," Peter quickly said.
Dina: "..."
Seeing those magicians from the Magic Association who almost got killed by the magic beasts, Dina felt that she really couldn't get angry anymore.
It could be said that these magicians from the Magic Association were indeed the best scapegoat.
Peter saw Dina calming down and heaved a sigh of relief.
He didn't want to irk Dina at the worst possible time.
Looking at the entire area that had been completely cleared out of the magic beasts with just one attack from Samuel, Peter sighed.
"That pair is really the same, aren't they? Samuel can clean up these magic beasts with just one attack and Riya could also do the same thing," Peter said with a sigh and he sat down, intending to eat some more magic beasts' meat while waiting.
Since the two of them attacked the magic beasts until the magic beasts in the passage were also killed, Peter guessed that it would take some time for these magic beasts to come back.
While it was tiring to wait...
But it's better than having to fight without rest in the slightest bit.
Just thinking of the days when he had to continue fight and put his own life on the line, Peter felt that the current situation was actually pretty good.
At the very least, he has people whom he could trust behind his back.
And Peter knew very well that these people will never betray him and will instead support him to the best of their abilities.
Even if they were to be pressured by these magic beasts, they would figure out a way out instead of bailing out.
It's good.
"Yes." Dina chuckled.
The lightning element had already stopped killing the magic beasts and from the way it looked like, Samuel was controlling his ability very well.
None of the humans were harmed.
For some reasons, the lightning were only attracted to the magic beasts.
What a terrifying magic control.
To specifically target the magic beasts, Dina could guess that there should be some kind of 'command' that was given when he casted the magic spell and let it attack these magic beasts.
