Chapter 306: - Initial Attempt Ultimate Success
Marco, the CEO of Golden Age Company, was deeply engrossed in his work in his office room. He was sifting through an array of progress reports on the Immortal Legacy game. The standout player was consistently the Sloth Champion, who seemed to be acquiring a
remarkable assortment of achievements that should have been impossible to attain so quickly by any other players.
Most recently, the Sloth Champion had obtained the Demon Egg from the Named Demon's Trial Domain. Marco sighed, contemplating the implications if Broken actually managed to hatch the egg. Although Marco felt confident that it wouldn't be an easy task for him, especially because access to the Demon's World shouldn't be achievable anytime soon.
However, there was a distinct possibility that Broken's recent interactions with the Shadow Wolves could pave the way. If that were the case, Broken would gain even more assets in his arsenal, steadily transforming himself into a genuine game-breaker.
Additionally, the Unique-grade class, currently the highest grade in the game, was another point of concern. Broken had, once again, obtained a Unique-grade class, and this particular one was astoundingly powerful! It possessed a skill that could instantly solve puzzles within the game or even unlock any door, which would indeed be quite troublesome.
Out of the six Unique-grade classes released to players, Broken owned half of them. Marco sighed heavily at that realization. If Broken were to participate in competitions involving puzzles, he would easily outclass everyone else.
Marco continued to review the progress reports from various top players in the game. While Broken was undeniably a standout, there were a few other players who had been in the game longer and achieved extraordinary feats.
Some of them were also Unique-class holders, and there were several divine champions who, through sheer hard work, had reached incredible heights. They had completed high-level towers, conquered super rare Trial Domains, and even defeated high-ranking Named
Demons.
It appeared that in the upcoming competitions, these players with remarkable potential would truly start to emerge. This was an opportunity to introduce the world to those who had intentionally kept a low profile, avoiding the leaderboards and rankings.
Of course, those who were visible on the ranking dashboards were certainly not to be underestimated. The grand competition, known as the Eternal Challenge, was gearing up to be so monumental that it would be remembered until the next grand event rolled around each year.
Marco thought about this with great confidence, envisioning the scale and impact of what was to come.
Suddenly, an alarm beeped from the small device near his monitor, jolting Marco from his thoughts.
[Someone has achieved an extraordinary feat in the game.]
The notification popped up in the upper right-hand corner of his monitor. Marco had set notifications for the night to alert him only for things that surpassed a specific threshold- especially since it was already 2 a.m. But what could have triggered his notification center at this hour?
Curious but cautious, he decided to hold off on checking immediately and instead opted to join his employees in the main control room. He quickly grabbed his jacket and stepped out of his room.
As he entered the control room, the big screen lit up with a video recording of a player currently navigating a high-level Trial Domain.
"What's happening at this hour?" Marco asked.
"Can you guess who it is, Mr. Marco?" one of his employees replied. "Someone has pulled off yet another significant feat."
"And what is it now?" Marco muttered, glancing at the player's identity on the screen. "Another extraordinary feat by him?" he said, shaking his head in disbelief.
"That's impressive. But what kind of person could complete a trial domain that quickly? Do
you think they might have used a cheat?"
"It's hard to believe they could finish a trial domain that fast, isn't it?"
"Of all players, only less than 1% have reached level 200 and above. So, of course, this is an
exceptionally extraordinary achievement."
"But who? Who could pull off such a feat?"
"I think it must be someone among the Divine Champions. They have powers that seem to
defy the rules of the game!"
"Damn, I wish I could be a divine champion too."
"The game truly needs rebalancing. Completing a Level 200 Trial Domain in such a short time
and on the first try is just absurd!"
"Could it be that the game is starting to get hacked?"
Maylock, Goldrich, and Toberry, all accompanied by Ivana on their journey to the cave, had
begun discussing the same topic.
Noticing the global notification, Maylock muttered with a sigh, "Broken? The only one
capable of such an extraordinary feat has to be him."
"Khi khi khi." Goldrich laughed, "You really do admire him too much."
"This is a form of recognition, and yeah, I bet the player mentioned in the global announcement is Broken. After all, he's currently tackling the Trial Domain, isn't he? I'm sure
he's already finished it. If I'm wrong, I'll run naked through the city, shouting 'Goldrich is the
coolest guy in Yunatea,'" he added with a smirk.
"I'll take you up on that challenge. Khi khi khi."
