Chapter 184: - Perceptive One
Princess Alora walked gracefully towards Broken, a soft smile adorning her face. Her elven features and flaming red hair gave her an ethereal beauty that made her look like a true vision of royalty. This was a stark contrast to the Princess Alora he had first met, clad in battle armor. In her royal dress, she appeared almost otherworldly, and he found himself momentarily dazzled by her presence as she lowered her gaze slightly.
"I congratulate you on your success in winning this competition, Broken," Princess Alora said.
Broken bowed slightly and responded, "Your Highness, Princess Alora, I am deeply honored to receive these congratulations from you personally."
"I believe you have exceeded many expectations, and you should be proud of this remarkable achievement," she added.
The royal maids carrying the wooden boxes approached and knelt beside Princess Alora, placing the wooden chests before Broken. Sensing their cue, Morbit and Max stepped forward to assist.
"Allow me to help you, champion," Morbit said, eagerly taking one of the golden chests while Max took charge of the other.
"This chest holds 600 Gold Coins," Princess Alora explained, her emerald green eyes shimmering with delight. "The other chest contains rare materials that you may use to craft future items. I hope these rewards will enable you to create even more extraordinary pieces. Congratulations once again!"
"Thank you, Your Highness," Broken replied with a small bow of his head.
Princess Alora made her way back to King Alorik's side, her ruby-red velvet gown rustling softly as she moved. Though usually a figure of composed nobility, a subtle anticipation was visible in her demeanor.
King Alorik stood before Broken. "You have accomplished something that no one else has ever achieved," he said.
He nodded approvingly. "For that, you shall receive rewards greater than any we have promised."
Broken felt his breath catch in his throat, and his heart leaped with excitement. His eyes widened in anticipation of what these greater rewards could be, and a wide smile spread across his face.
[Congratulations to Broken, the first player to win the grand prize of the competition event from the Dissidia Kingdom!]
[His name will forever be remembered in history, and he is now known as the Grand Champion of the Realm of Dissidia. May his fame and glory last for all eternity!]
[For this amazing accomplishment, you get a bonus of 20 stat points along with an additional 10 stat points on Charisma.]
Level: 217
Strength: 833 Agility: ??? Intelligence: 637 Constitution: ??? Stamina: 621]
"Damn!" Broken felt a jolt of shock as he absorbed even a fraction of Princess Alora's stats. Her Strength was incredibly high at 833, clearly indicating she specialized as a sword-fighter. Her Intelligence stat was also impressive, revealing her prowess as a Magic Sword user.
He pondered her stats further. "Her total stats for a level 217 character far surpass the average for that level-she's truly exceptional," he thought.
As he concluded the stats, Broken felt Princess Alora's gaze upon him. He suddenly realized that while inspecting her stats, he had inadvertently been staring at her face. Their eyes met, and she smiled at him.
Embarrassed, Broken quickly lowered his head. "Damn," he thought, "was I looking for too long?"
King Alorik observed the man standing before him and noticed the glance exchanged between Broken and Alora. A warm contentment bloomed in his chest at the thought. The knights had mentioned that Alora had met Broken before, although he didn't know how well they knew each other. It seemed that Alora and Broken were already familiar with one another-and perhaps even more than just acquaintances?
Could there be a special bond between them? If so, wouldn't Broken be an admirable and worthy companion for his daughter, especially considering he had just proven himself in front of the grand prophecy of King Elandorr?
King Alorik's musings wandered back to recollections of the late King Elandorr and his fabled prophecy. Could it be possible that the man standing before him would play a significant role in shaping the future?
As he carefully considered the prospect, a thought occurred to him: could Broken offer the
best possible guidance and support to Alora as she prepared to ascend to the throne? It seemed not only feasible but also desirable. King Alorik was confident that whatever guidance and support Broken could provide would be immensely beneficial for his daughter's future
reign.
Their prolonged gaze and Alora's smiling response confirmed to King Alorik that perhaps there was more between them than he initially realized.
King Alorik's mind was made up. He decided to create more opportunities for his daughter
and Broken to be together. If Broken's destiny was indeed intertwined with that of the Dissidia Kingdom, then fostering their connection was the right course of action. This alliance, both personal and political, seemed written in the stars.
"Broken, you have achieved great success in the competition," King Alorik finally continued.
