Chapter 596 596: Ultraman Nexu? Noah Logs In!

Nurgle was puzzled—what was going on?

Was Rhodes planning to sic the natives on him? Were the natives strong?

A giant question mark hovered over his head.

As he pondered, a mysterious black-and-red warrior was blasted from Earth by a searing flame, tumbling into space.

The giant's design was bizarre, radiating immense darkness, with a huge V crest on his chest.

The black giant roared, red eyes blazing with fury. He crossed his arms and began to pose.

Terrifying dark energy gathered in his palms, then a black-red lightning-like beam stabbed toward Earth.

Nurgle felt the sheer terror in that strike—

If it hit, the planet would be obliterated.

...

On Tokyo Bay's shore stood a 55-meter silver giant with a huge V crest on his chest and a pair of metallic silver wings on his back.

There were two giants—save for color and the silver one's wings, they were nearly identical.

"Wha! Ha!" The silver giant struck his signature pose, palms glowing white, forming an L.

A golden beam lanced up from Earth, colliding with the black-red shot!

The powers clashed in orbit above the planet. At first evenly matched, the silver giant's body flared with golden radiance—he poured on power, and the duel turned one-sided.

The black giant's eyes filled with horror, but it was too late—the golden beam overran his ray and slammed into him.

The explosion consumed the black-and-red giant.

"Aaaah!"

With a scream, he was destroyed.

The unleashed dark energy was gulped down in part by the hidden Daram—fresh and delicious fare the moment he arrived. Perfect.

Rhodes was speechless—they'd landed in the Ultraman Nexus endgame.

Jun Himeya's successor Kazuki Komon had booted up the big Noah form. Poor Plaguefather—unlucky timing!

"Ultraman won! Ultraman won!"

Earth erupted in cheers—everyone celebrated the silver giant, godlike, defeating the evil dark giant. Ultraman prevailed.

But the silver giant didn't revert to Komon—he stared into space.

"Strange—why isn't Komon changing back? The battle's over," said Nagi Saijyo, puzzled.

By rights, after defeating Dark Zagi, it should be done.

Yet the silver giant gazed skyward, solemn. This host likely couldn't muster enough power to kill that green monster!

Though Komon's affinity was high, he could only partially unlock Noah's power. He'd also spent much fighting Dark Zagi just now.

After the black-red giant died, Nurgle stared, dumbfounded, at the silver giant.

The silver giant's mode of life seemed similar—like an embodiment of cosmic rules!

But that one below wasn't his true self—just a clone wielding a portion of power!

The silver giant's true body might far surpass him—but the avatar below might not outclass Nurgle by much!

Cackling, Nurgle became a green fireball and slammed toward the ground.

Tokyo Bay boiled; as Nurgle's fireball pierced the atmosphere, the sea flashed to steam in a millisecond, exposing a coral-littered seabed.

The silver giant blanched—he took flight, radiating titanic light-energy, wrapping the planet in a colossal shield,

Blocking Nurgle's descent; Nexus's particle barrier met the falling plague-star; the shockwave sheared Yokohama's Landmark Tower in half.

But the impact was stopped—the fat green star fell into the city.

"Gheh-heh—such savory breaths of life!" Nurgle's body swelled in steam, with countless weeping faces bubbling under blubber.

His hundred-meter true form emerged—sea walls crumbled like cookies; green, plague-tainted waves swallowed half of Chiba.

Sickly green plague spread through the city—countless people were infected in an instant.

In terms of wide-area lethality, his power was supreme. All is life. Let me gift you a father's love.

Night Raider's Chrome Chester fighters screamed warnings in the corrosive haze.

"Captain! All electronics are failing!" Shiori watched yellow-green slime seep across the HUD.

A tendril of pus lashed from the clouds—Unit 3's left wing sprouted tumorous growths.

"Eject!" Eisuke Wakura's shout drowned in rending metal.

As Nagi ejected, she saw a sight she'd never forget—the crashing jet was... growing—becoming a flesh construct.

Aluminum skin rolled into meat; a turbine became a pulsing heart; the craft was transforming into a living monster—horrific corruption.

The same unfolded across the city; the green power warped everything—even steel towers.

"Come, dear children—let me give you life—your father's love." Nurgle released his plague. A twenty-kilometer viridian vortex bloomed above Tokyo Bay; a million Nurgle mites split from him.

A sacred light flared—those beings that had just split touched the light and vaporized with screams.

The silver giant roared, unleashing his domain skill—the Meta Field.

If this green monster lingered, the city would be ruined.

A terrifying spatial force tugged at Nurgle, trying to drag him into a strange pocket.

Nexus's core pulsed wildly. Komon felt this green being's unprecedented strength—but the belief in light would not waver.

He roared and dragged Nurgle in, securing Earth for the moment—though Nurgle's brief descent had already annihilated a city and left toxic miasma.

"Some kind of extradimensional trick? You've dragged me to a strange place. I mean no harm—I only wish to gift the life here. Accept my blessing, and they'll taste true life's beauty. All is life—bacteria and viruses too. All things equal," Nurgle oozed.

"Silence, monster!" the Ultra will thundered through Komon's Nexus.

He'd just fought Dark Zagi, killed him, then shielded the planet—

And now dragged this monster into the Meta Field. Komon's chest timer V began to glow.

He was not truly Noah—only empowered by a sliver of Light to reach this ultimate form. Exhausted, he reverted to Nexus Anphans form.

"Your energy wanes. If your true self were here, I'd be cautious. But as a mere avatar, you're not my match," Nurgle said.

Under the Meta Field's golden dome, Nurgle's body split with thousands of vents, spraying rainbow spores that rooted and sprouted—trying to corrupt the field into his Garden.

"Behold, the Father's Garden for a new world!" His navel irised into a trumpet, playing a maddening lullaby.

Light-lines on Nexus flickered—Komon felt his power being siphoned, an invasive will creeping in—but a holy light shielded him.

"Damn you—you won't harm this world—my home."

Was this a new Space Beast? Something else?

"See the beautiful blossoms of rot..." Nurgle's voice gurgled like mud-stuffed pipes, each syllable bubbling bile. "The brighter your light, the more my plagues thrive—like sun on poison mushrooms."

Warm light does banish darkness—but I am life as well, not darkness, Komon thought. Yet the green power pressed down; Nexus Anphans was being overwhelmed.

"Do not fear, brave human. Believe in the Light. Come—release your inner radiance once more," a mysterious voice spoke in Komon's mind.

Hearing it, Komon's resolve blazed. He could not fail—Earth would perish. Two had given their lives for this world; now it was his turn.

Great Light, great Ultraman—grant me your power! Let me become Noah once more!

The Meta Field trembled; rot surged in—but just as Nexus was to be engulfed—

Boom!!!

A dazzling silver light erupted from Nexus's chest—like a supernova! Nurgle's mass was flung back by the sudden storm; his rotten eyes bulged as the silver giant—began to transform!

Nexus Anphans's light-lines burned; steel wings snapped open—each feather gleamed with stellar light.

He grew taller, more sacred and majestic; the V-core blazed brighter than a star!

In a blink, the silver giant stood a hundred meters—eye-to-eye with Nurgle.

Ultraman Noah—Awakened!

Nurgle's tendrils melted on contact with that light—like frost in flame.

For the first time, horror crossed his pockmarked face. "No... impossible! You were a human—how can you... bear that being's power?"

In 40K, he could corrupt a mortal to surpass even a Primarch—if they could survive it. None could. But this silver giant shattered his understanding—the light within him exceeded Nurgle's own.

Noah gave him no time.

"Noah—Bolt!"

The silver giant crossed then flung his arms wide—a dimension-rending super ray burst forth! Nurgle threw up plague-laden hands, but his dark energy was pierced like paper!

"Arrrgh—!" His corpulent mass was struck, twisting and coming apart—pus and rot evaporating into stench. As a Chaos God he didn't truly die, and he cackled:

"Useless! I am Father—life eternal! Your light can kill me once—but my plague has already taken root on this world!"

"Is that so? Today is your end, monster. I keep my word." Noah's voice was deep as the cosmos; his eyes burned with judgment.

It had cost Komon's life force to let Noah's true consciousness descend.

Noah's steel wings flared to their limit—countless light particles circled him like a star river.

He slowly raised his right hand, palm leveled at Nurgle.
