Chapter 316 There's No Such Thing As Too Many Drones

We went to the cargo bay to test out Ries's drones after her new update.

As we were heading there, Lea appeared from the hydroponics room wearing only her underwear and tilted her head at the sight of us.

"Hello Mistress, hello Ries. What are you doing?"

"Oh, Ries was just about to show me the updates she did to the drones. Wanna watch too?" I asked, trying my best not to stare at her cleavage.

"May I?"

I turned to Ries and she shrugged, "Sure, why not?"

The three of us thus went towards the cargo bay together with Ries leading the way.

"What kind of update did you do?" Lea asked, moving to match my walking speed.

Ries grinned at her, "Oh you'll see~"

As we stepped into the cargo bay, I realised Ries must have given them an order remotely because they were all hovering in the middle of the cargo bay all formed up in ranks.

Lea raised an eyebrow at the sight, "You made them into soldiers?"

Ries brought out her personal terminal and started tapping on it, "In a sense. What do you know about these drones?"

"They're cargo drones, aren't they?" The Alv asked, looking at Ries. "How effective would they be in fighting off boarders?"

Ries did not answer and simply tapped on her personal terminal and prompted four cargo drones to fly towards us.

I wondered what they were going to do when they suddenly split up and went straight for Lea.

She only had time to flinch back when the drones grabbed her limbs and lifted her up into the air, spreading her arms and legs out while hovering a few feet in the air.

Despite lifting an entire person up into the air, it doesn't seem like the drones were even struggling despite the weight.

These drones were designed to haul pretty heavy equipment so having four of these drones capture you like that... I'm pretty sure they could just carry you wherever they want.

I looked up at Lea, who was giving Ries a dirty look, while doing my best not to laugh at her unfortunate state, "Ahem... Ah... Umm... This looks... Ehe... This looks pretty effective. Why doesn't everyone use this to fight?"

We're not a really big group by any means so there were already multiple scenarios where we were outnumbered in fights. Most of the time we managed to win because we had superior equipment or we had the element of surprise in those fights.

But if I could also have the advantage of numbers on our side too, I would most definitely not say no either.

That's why I would say that she would only use her abilities when there's no choice... And that whoever she uses it on won't be able to spread the news to others.

So when Ries told me about the potential of having drones accompany us out as guards, that was something I was instantly interested in.

And Ries could tell I was interested in that because her ears and tail immediately perked up.

"If Boss doesn't mind... I don't even need to get the drones themselves! I just need materials and I could build them on my own too! Although... I guess it would take a longer time... No, wait... If I were to have a replicator and an assembler... I would just need to set up a production line... But then I would need to sacrifice space that I could use for a disassembler frame..."

I chuckled, "Don't worry, Ries. We would be earning more money anyway and if we were to get jobs that we need to deal with pirates or thugs, we can loot stuff from them that you can use. So you can just plan out what you need and then I'll get what you need."

Ries gasped, "Nyaaa! I love you Boss!! You're the best Boss ever!"

Lea raised her hand slightly, "Mistress... I also need some other materials for the hydroponics farm as well."

I chuckled, "Are you asking me for permission to buy them as well?"

She nodded and I was about to just tell her she could just tell me the price and I'll transfer the money to her when she reached up and snapped the clasp off her bra to let it slip off her shoulders.

Then, without hesitation, she hooked her fingers around the band of her panties and she slipped it down to her ankles before stepping out of them.

Now I have a naked Alv standing in front of me.

"Please use me as you like as payment, Mistress," She announced.

I was staring at her naked breasts for a good two seconds before I recovered with a cough, "Ahem... You don't need to do that, Lea... Your garden is literally going to feed us so there's no way I'm going to skim on buying the best materials and equipment you need to keep that going."

She gestured towards herself, "Oh, I am doing this because I want to, Mistress. I just got really horny all of a sudden and I would very much like for Mistress to take me in your room. Though I would not mind if Mistress were to not mind taking me right here either."
