Primordial Draconic Incubus With A Gourmet Chef System

Chapter 215 <{First Trial: Apprenticeship}>

Chapter 215 <{First Trial: Apprenticeship}>

Following what the System said, Lucian thought about the word, 'Status.' Immediately after, shimmering Runic Symbols materialized and weaved into the familiar Status Screen.

Navigating to the new Trials Feature, Lucian mentally clicked on it.

<{First Trial: Apprenticeship}>

<{Objective: Do whatever it takes to become Feng Yu Guan's disciple and obtain his secret recipe: Blood Tempering Soup.

Penalty: Trial failure will result in the Host's attempt to break through the the Blood Tempering Realm to fail and the Primordial Draconic Incubus Bloodline purity to decrease by 5%.}>

'So the old man's name is Feng Yu Guan.' Lucian had followed the mysterious chef around Illusory Butterfly City for slightly over a week without ever discovering his name.

The biggest surprise, however, was the Blood Tempering Soup. Just from its name alone, Lucian understood its significance.@@@@

For a Mana Condensation Realm Mage, the Blood Tempering Soup held no value, but the same could not be said about someone who had reached the second Mage Rank — Blood Tempering Realm. In this realm, Mages consumed Blood Tempering Potions and absorbed Mana to temper their Blood.

However, potions and Mana held a considerable amount of impurities, which would decrease a Mage's potential.

Yet, that same issue would not be present in the Blood Tempering Soup. What Alchemists failed to achieve, Alchemist Chefs could easily accomplish — the complete removal of impurities within ingredients. This made the soup far superior to potions and Mana.

'Feng Yu Guan...' Lucian muttered the old man's name. 'To finish the Trial, I'll definitely become your disciple.'

However, Lucian was in no hurry. He had plenty of time to accomplish the Trial. At the moment, something else took precedence.

His sealed Mage Rank.

Memories transferred directly into a person's Soul would become that person's property. It was not just information being relayed, it was lived moments, experiences, and emotions that are now Lucian's.

That was why Lucian cared about the Illusory Butterfly Sect and why he felt hatred toward the Wang Family for being the cause of Wang Chen's death.

It was getting late. The sun had already begun its descent, so Lucian wisely chose to embark on his journey to Tianshan Mountain tomorrow.

For the first time since Lucian's arrival in this world, he stood up and stretched his body. Then he proceeded into his house.

Every Disciple had a house. Many Disciples had to share their living quarters with other Disciples. But Lucian was a special existence within the Sect.

After taking a shower, Lucian put on a new set of white robes with the logo of an Illusory Butterfly sown on the left side of his chest.

Droplets of water clung to his black hair. With each step, the droplets slowly fell to the floor as he went to the kitchen.

Without the assistance of Mana, Lucian was starving. Luckily for him, the chef that had been recently assigned to him by the Elders to show him that chefs were merely employees for influential people, had anticipated his hunger.

Piping hot bowls and plates of food were on the circular dining table.

"Thank you, Grandma Jun for the food," Lucian said to the kind old woman in the kitchen before he began gobbling down the food.

Grandma Jun looked at him in amazement before she kindly reminded him. "Eat slowly, Young Master. The food won't run away."

"That might be true... but-" Lucian said, in between chewing. "I'm starving."

The food was not up to his standards, but at this moment in time, he could not be picky. It was just like he said, he was starving.
